About Cedric Betis

Cedric Betis completed is Master’s Degree in Sports & Sciences at Montpellier University, France.


Cedric has worked in the health & fitness industry for more than 20 years and has extensive experience in all major territories including Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.


In 2007 Cedric has been appointed by H.E Mohammad Al Gergawi (Minister of Cabinet Affairs & The Future - UAE and Chairman of Dubai Holding) to establish the first comprehensive corporate wellness program in the Middle East at Dubai Holding (18,000 employees).

His main responsibilities included the development of the Dubai Holding wellness strategy, pillars, mission, program components and execution while ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.


From 2013 to 2017 Cedric was also the Managing Director of Talise Wellness (a member of the Jumeirah Group) leading the design and the deployment of the global wellness strategy for the Jumeirah hotels while managing the day to day commercial operations in Dubai (gyms, spas, marina, cafes).

In 2015, Cedric held the position of President - IHPM (Institute for Health & Productivity Management) for the UAE and since his move to Dubai in 2002 Cedric has been a Special Advisor on health & wellness for some of the most influential dignitaries in the private and governmental sectors in Dubai.


Cedric is currently a Member of the Dubai Future Council on Health & Wellbeing, an initiative launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The main objectives of the council are to foresight the future of the “health and wellbeing” sector in Dubai, launch innovative initiatives and turning ideas into reality.


Additionally, Cedric is the Wellness Advisor at the Dubai Future Foundation (Government of Dubai) and   Expo 2020 Dubai, responsible for the development and the execution of the wellness strategy for the group, while ensuring alignment with their overall business objectives.
